Mother and Child Tracking System (MCTS) is a recent initiative of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare Govt. of India with the help of  information technology for ensuring  the availability & accessibility  of full spectrum of healthcare and immunization services to pregnant women and  under 5 children, to reduce the maternal mortality, morbidity & neonatal morality & morbidity. Due to the lack of availability of health care services in the rural part of the country the maternal mortality as well as morbidity rate were high. To control this situation Govt. Of India started this particular programme.
